CRD Mission

01. Chonnam National University Regional Development Research Institute was established in 1968 as a legal research institute affiliated with Chonnam National University to promote academic research on regional issues.
It contributes to solving various problems in the region through comprehensive research and analysis of related fields such as economy, society, urban planning, environment, and transportation, and further suggests a regional development model
It aims to contribute to learning and regional development.

02. In addition, the research institute aims to strengthen and grow the research capabilities of the research institute through research in the field of humanities and society.

03. In order to publish the research results of researchers and domestic and foreign researchers, the academic journal "Regional Development Research" was published since 1969, and the 46th book of the current administration was published in June 2006.

In addition, monthly meetings are held for research achievements and academic discussions of researchers, and in 2005, six corporate meetings were held to discuss the theory of enterprises

04. In order to accumulate basic research results on the development of Gwangju and South Jeolla Province since 2000, this institute publishes one or two planned books every year
There is, and since 2005, local basic research has been publicly supported. Meanwhile, in line with the trend of internationalization, international studies are carried out annually in collaboration with China's Lateran University and Japan's Shiga University
