The 1st Social Economy and Regional Innovation Seminar, hosted by the CRD, was held on June 22nd (Monday) online via Google Meet.
Particularly in recognition of the significant challenges faced by social economy due to the rise of the non-face-to-face economy and digital
transformation after COVID-19, this seminar featured diverse discussions on the direction that social economy should take in the
post-COVID-19 era.
The CRD has planned the "Social Economy and Regional Innovation Seminar" series to promote sustainable social economy through regional
innovation, ultimately realizing the social purpose of regional community development and social integration of vulnerable populations.
The theme of this event was 'Response Direction of Social Economy in the Post-COVID-19 Era,' with a presentation by Hyunjeong Min (Research Director, Gwangju-Jeonnam Research Institute).
Especially noteworthy was the seminar's awareness of the significant challenges faced by social economy in the post-COVID-19 era due to the
rise of the non-face-to-face economy and digital transformation, leading to various discussions on the direction social economy should take in the post-COVID-19
era.
