The CRD Social Economy-Focused Research Team held a seminar on the trends of social economy in Europe, with a focus on the research report 'Recent Evolutions of the Social Economy in the European Union (2017)' published by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) since September 13. The seminar consisted of a total of 8 sessions, with each sub-topic team presenting trends in Europe's social economy related to their respective themes.
The discussions in the seminar covered a range of topics, starting from the theoretical approach to social economy, the current status of
statistical aggregation of social economy (national accounts and satellite accounts), the state of legal and institutional framework
establishment, and the flow and limitations of policy changes. It is essential to delve more deeply into the behaviors of Europe's social
economy, which differ in their origins and developmental patterns from those of Korea, to glean insights for the direction of Korean social
economy policies.
